New Delhi, June 25 (ANI): Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia presented Aam Aadmi Party’s first maiden budget on Thursday and called it nation’s first ‘Swaraj budget’. Sisodia said that expectations & aspirations of people of Delhi have been taken into account while preparing this Budget and that this budget is for ‘aam aadmi’. He added that proposed Delhi budget estimate for the year 2015-16 is 41129 crores. Sisodia said that e-district will be implemented, and the DM will issue certificate with digital signature. Free WiFi for all colleges has also been included in the budget. 9836 crores have been proposed for education sector in 2015-16. At least 20,000 new teachers are to be roped in, and 50 schools are planned to be converted into model schools with installation of CCTV cameras in all classrooms across all Delhi schools. Health budget is also hiked by over 45 percent. Sisodia also proposed modernizing 11 government hospitals. Delhi Deputy CM also said that provisions are being made to inter connect different modes of transport and that bus and auto information will be available on mobile phones. He said that marshals will travel in public transport including buses and CCTV will be installed in buses to ensure safety of women. GPS will also be a must for all public mode of transport. He said that loans up to Rs 10 lakh each would be given to those interested in higher education and that girls will get the loan at 1% lesser interest rate. He also said that Rs 1 crore each will be given to families of martyrs. He also talked about tanker mafia in the national capital. Sisodia also said that the government will clean the River Yamuna and will make it a picnic spot in the next five years.
