We are going to how to install the Installing the new KICKR/CORE 142 Thru Axle Adapters

In late in 2020 several bicycle manufacturers updated the frames on a few bike models in eluding the, 2021 Trek Emonda, 2020-2021 Trek Domane & Madone, 2021 Giant TCR Advanced Pro, Lauf True Grit and all Cervelo Disc Frames that resulted with them being incompatible with 2017 through current KICKR v5 and all versions of KICKR CORE. Wahoo worked closely with the bicycle to develop a new set of adapters allowing the affected bicycles to be used with the above-mentioned Wahoo trainers.

We show you how to install the new Kickr 142 thru axle adapters, to ensure that your bike if fully compatible with the Wahoo Kickr. We show you the tools that you need, and go step by step through the process. We go over how to remove and install the rear cassette on the Wahoo kickr, as well as how to remove the old axle nut, and how to install the latest version.

While I had no issues that I was aware of with the Cervelo Aspero, it is recommended that you update the adapters. Wahoo will send you them if you indicate you are on a Cervelo bike, and utilizing a new trainer via their support ticket system.

The tools required are Tools required, Cassette lockring tool, Chain Whip, 14mm cone wrench, 17mm cone wrench, and a wrench.
