The Kenya National Commission on Human Rights called out President Uhuru Kenyatta for failing to put into action a 10 billion shillings restorative justice fund meant to effect compensation for various victims and survivors of historical injustices.
The commission slammed the President for failing to table the TJRC report.
The Commission urged President Kenyatta to tackle these issues in his State of the Nation address, happening tomorrow.
KNCHR expressed concern about Kenya's record on extra judicial killings, reporting documented cases of extortion, illegal detention, torture, enforced disappearances and killings by the Kenya police and defence forces.
