Doctor/River is one of the only couples for whom this over-used song can really, truly work.

What I wanted to do was go at it from River's timeline, since we pretty much always just see the Doctor's POV. So after the initial scene (the song is wedding themed), we start with Let's Kill Hitler and go on from there. The main eps I wanted to focus on were LKH, The Wedding of River Song, and Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead, and so each refrain is another stage in River's timeline.

I initially had more about the diary in the vid, but it didn't quite fit. I did, during the way, way too long period of time I spent on this, realize that the end of Forest of the Dead is pretty much a perfect encapsulation of them, together. Her diary and his screwdriver, surrounded by all the adventures there could ever be.
