This is where it all started.
The river where I caught my first salmon, steelhead, and lastly my first brown. Unfortunately in the last 3 years right around the time when the salmon should be running upstream the water levels were extremely low!
Like so low that we only had 3-5 inches of water in some parts of the river which made it close to impossible for the salmon to run upstream.
And clearly, we see the end results in the low number of fish returning each consecutive year back.
Sorry for the bad news but if there's one thing we can do and help is maybe to keep less fish and return more of them back into the water!
