Jane Goodall says she was "born loving animals", a passion that has been at the center of her life's work as a leader of the global conversation around animal activism and conservation. In this episode of Badass Women at home, Jane talks about how reading 'Doctor Dolittle' and 'Tarzan of the Apes' at a young age inspired her to travel to Africa. In 1960, when Jane traveled to Kenya, she began to study the connections between humans and chimpanzees-- and the rest was history. Since 1986, Jane has spent nearly 300 days every year traveling the world to speak out about protecting chimpanzees against animal cruelty and extinction.
