This is how I fertilize and refresh my container soil each spring. You can use any combination of organic granular or water-soluble fertilizers. And if you have compost, I show you how to use that. You can't always dump a container out, to amend the soil, because it may have a perennial plant growing in it. Here are some simple principles you can apply to refreshing soil in your containers.
