Private eye Lou Peckinpaugh (Peter Falk) finds himself interrupted in a tete a tete with Eileen Brennan's nightclub singer in this clip from the spoof The Cheap Detective (1978). Mysterious clients (including Dom De Luise) ask him to locate missing papers stolen from them at the nightclub, which makes it a busy time for Lou, as he's also avoiding the police who want him on suspicion of his business partner's murder. However, he's still able to afford to give Brennan something in a brown envelope to send her on her way, along with a slap to her rear - only it's not quite what she's expecting...
