India has begun supplying its indigenous Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launchers (MBRL) to Armenia, along with the Akash air defense missile system. The first batch of Pinaka systems, capable of striking targets over 80 km, follows a contract signed two years ago. Armenia is one of the largest buyers of Indian defense equipment, alongside the US and France. The Pinaka rockets have garnered interest from countries in South East Asia and Europe, with France expressing interest during a visit by India's Chief of Defence Staff. India aims to expand its defense exports, having succeeded in this effort multiple times since 2014.
