During the on-going Monsoon Session, AAP MP Sanjay Singh is suspended by Rajya Sabha chairperson Jagdeep Dhankar due to his unruly conduct in the House and repeated defiance of the Chair's directives. The decision came after Union Minister Piyush Goyal moved a motion demanding Singh's suspension for protesting in the well of the House.
Before the suspension of Sanjay Singh, opposition MPs had also staged a protest near the Gandhi statue in the Parliament premises, displaying placards and raising slogans.
