Short impression of the famous Sälkär carbonatite breccia that occurs as boulders off the northern shore of Alnö island. The breccia was first described in the 1960s by Harri von Eckermann. It contains accretionary lapilli, carbonatite fragments and alkaline basalt blebs in a fine-grained matrix of carbonatite. The outcrop is offshore and can only be reached with a small boat.
