The moment cars and pedestrians narrowly avoided a large explosion in Dnipro was captured in a dashcam video on Monday (Oct 10) during a day of intense Russian strikes on Ukrainian cities. READ MORE: [ Ссылка ]

The vehicle's window-mounted camera showed a large plume of smoke rising from the immediate horizon, causing traffic to stop before a fiery explosion sent debris crashing down onto the cars below.

Reuters verified the location of the video using the location marks included on the dashcam video posted online, which coincided with Google Maps street view of Kalynova Street in Dnipro.

Russia rained cruise missiles on busy Ukrainian cities on Monday in what the United States called "horrific strikes", killing civilians and knocking out power and heating infrastructure with its most widespread air attacks since the start of the war.

The strikes also targeted Ukraine's capital Kyiv along with Lviv, Ternopil and Zhytomyr in western Ukraine.
