While travelling back to Shoranur from Melattur onboard 06464 Nilambur Road Palakkad express special (led by Golden Rock WDP4D 40115), I spotted the 20633 Kasargod Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat for a brief moment just after our express departed from Vadanamkurussi Halt which is the last station on the Nilambur Road - Shoranur branch line. The Vande Bharat was on the line coming from Kannur/Mangaluru and both these lines run parallel for a few kilometres before entering Shoranur. At this point the Vande Bharat was ahead of the express, the express had no chances of catching up with it but Vande Bharat had to stop at the home signal of Shoranur whereas the line was cleared for the express and ended up overtaking the Vande Bharat and entering Shoranur first.
