All right, so a couple of weeks ago, I was poking around Amazon Comics like you do, and I stumbled across this magnificent cover that you’re seeing right here for DC vs. Vampires volume one, created by James Tynion IV, Matthew Rosenberg, and Otto Schmidt. I gotta be honest, I picked it up just based on the cover alone. So let’s get into it.

We find out the Queen of the vampires is dead and that she had been holding back the vampires from attacking humanity for many, many years. Now that there’s a mysterious new king of vampires in charge, it’s open season on humans and the vampires are out, in the open, taking people out. What gets wild is they’re turning metahumans, so they’re turning heroes and villains into vampires, just exponentially increasing their power and their ability to take out humans.

The non-vampires are putting up a good fight, Batman and Green Arrow among them. They strike back towards the end of volume one, and things just kind of fall apart. The new mysterious king of vampires is revealed, and that’s kind of the end of volume one.
