Despite an early spin through the grass in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 from Atlanta Motor Speedway, Corey LaJoie battled back in the Spire Motorsports No. 7 Chevrolet to earn his first ever Cup Series top-five finish.

After avoiding a last-lap crash coming to the checkers, LaJoie said the new racing at the redesigned AMS was like the movie 'Days of Thunder.'
