Millions of Australians live with chronic inflammatory diseases – and we urgently need better tests to detect and diagnose these conditions.
The Colonial Foundation Diagnostics Centre is a pioneering new research centre co-led by WEHI and The Royal Melbourne Hospital that aims to fix this, by bringing future science into disease diagnosis.
Backed by an outstanding $21m philanthropic investment by the Colonial Foundation, the centre will advance precision diagnosis for inflammatory diseases, like rheumatoid arthritis and inflammatory bowel disease, to deliver more accurate and rapid diagnostics for the one-in-ten Australians who live with these conditions.
