Join me as I attempt to recreate the iconic snare drum sound from Bethel Church worship tracks. This journey takes me from basic knowledge about triggers, tuning, and mixing all the way to expert advice and endless tweaking until I nail that signature crack and body.

If you don’t want to watch the video and just want to know how to do the sound, here are the bullet points:
- Some sort of metal drum. Typically a Ludwig Black Beauty or a brass drum
- Powerstroke 3 or 4
- EQ ring
- Top head tuned to somewhere between 200hz and 300hz (depends on drum)
- Bottom head to 400hz
- SM57 on top and bottom (or Shure 545s unidyne iii)
- Parallel compression
- Compressed Gated reverb
