Being nearly 8 years in the making, this remix is one of the toughest projects I worked on so far.
Many times I thought it might never see the light of day, but finally it's done., albeit not on winter time -.-
I seriously don't know why MM7 and MM8 get so much hate.
To be honest the poor english dub didn't help, the japanese one is much better. But I loved how the game developers tried to tie in the FMV technology to the basic gameplay formula with updated cartoonish graphics. I remember buying this game in winter of 1998 a couple of months before I discovered Megaman X4 in the store shelves to my surprise, thinking Megaman games didn't get made anymore. No it's not the best in the series (my personal favorite is still MM7 on SNES), but it has good levels and
I like the 'dark energy' story for once, it's not about Wily trying to desperately hide the fact that he is the mastermind behind the happenings in the world.
Frostman has one of the best themes in the game!
I always liked the ice stages in Megaman games. This one was pretty notorious for it's snowboard parts, many peaple hated it, I find them to be a welcome change of pace .The Wily stage snowboard parts are tougher though.
I really tried to nail the ice sound and as you can hear it has a very prominent FM Bass sound which I put together with the real Bass
