In the 1992, the BBC wanted a new early evening drama, so they bought an entire Spanish resort, shipped out a cast and crew, and El Dorado was borne. Unfortunately it was not popular with British viewers, as many characters were allowed to speak dialogue in their own language, without subtitles to explain what was said! They updated the format, scrapped the foreign languages, and introduced a more exciting storyline, but they still believed it was unpopular, so it was cancelled. Sadly viewers had grown to like it by then.... but the decision had been made. I only have this one episode I'm afraid.
