As midnight approaches, we prepared ourselves to welcome the new year from Dusseldorf's Rhine River.

Sadly, there wasn't a city fireworks display, but the locals and residents of Dusseldorf brought their own personal level of pyrotechnics and created their own spectacular version of bringing in the New Year.
