Join us for a group discussion with 3 members from Elite Medical Prep addressing the question of why each of the speakers chose to pursue a surgical versus non-surgical career in medicine. All 3 speakers are members of Elite Medical Prep, a company that specializes in tutoring for the MCAT, USMLE, COMLEX and post medical school exams, as well as advising for medical school and residency admissions. The 3 speakers--Dr. Brus-Ramer (radiology), Dr. Zielinksi (orthopedics) and Dr. Kim (ophthalmology)--will each briefly review their academic career to date and some of the key decision points they made along the way as they decided on their choice of a surgical or non surgical specialty. The speakers will then discuss some of the key factors that pre-medical and medical students should consider when deciding on pursuing a surgical specialty or non-surgical specialty. The session will conclude with a Q&A addressing pre-submitted and live questions from attendees.
