Comcast, a partner of Special Olympics Washington, launched a public service announcement (PSA) campaign, aimed at raising awareness for the Special Olympics 2018 USA Games held in Seattle, Washington July 1-6, 2018. The four PSA spots each feature a Washington Special Olympics athlete who will compete in the games, including Aaron Evans.
Aaron Evans is from Green Acres in the Spokane Valley and a member of the Spokane Wolfpack Special Olympics team. Aaron will compete in stand up paddle boarding. Though he has participated in various Special Olympics events since 2002, this will be his first year competing in stand up paddle boarding.
The public service announcements are part of a more than $1.7 million cash and in-kind contribution by Comcast as a corporate sponsor of the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games and partner with Special Olympics Washington. The televised PSAs will air Comcast Cable TV channels and networks throughout the company’s Washington footprint from June 4 through mid-July.
