The Maggia Valley and its beauty - Due to the persistent precipitation in Ticino, many places created waterfalls that then flow into the river Maggia so normally not seen and perceived. What led to floods and dangerous high water situations on the campsites and the roads resulted in other places a rare natural spectacle, as here in the Maggia Valley just above the village of Maggia itself. Dozens of waterfalls were formed. 2 days later only a small stream was left of the big waterfall.
