Dr Robert Neff, a gynecologic oncologist, shares his experiences leading biomarker testing standardization efforts in advanced ovarian cancer at TriHealth, a Cincinnati-based health care system. Dr Neff will discuss how their testing process was inconsistent, so they needed to revamp their workflow. With this new approach, they standardized referrals to genetic counselors and streamlined their germline and somatic test ordering process through their preferred testing lab. As a result of these changes, they were able to test more patients, establish a more efficient and flexible workflow, and increase the time providers had to spend with patients.
