As soon as you've parked your car and walked into reception, you'll know that the low cost Normandy hotel at Glasgow Airport, is friendly and welcoming. So for parents, family rooms are probably most important, and here they're both comfortable and practical with bunk beds for the little ones.

Downstairs and into the restaurant, and there's plenty of choice for you and the kids. But being a steak house, this is definitely one for the meat eaters to tuck into.

There's a large bar downstairs that serves all your typical drinks, as well as hot and cold snacks available throughout the day, which is great for when little tummys get a bit hungry!

Breakfast meanwhile is a huge buffet spread! So each family member can pick their own way to start the day. Then finally it's the getting there part.

Transfer buses run every twenty minuets, and will have you at the airport in approximately five! and best of all they're included in the price. It all feels very down to earth, and comfortable here at the Normandy.The staff are wonderfully friendly, and you really can just relax and enjoy this laid back hotel.

Which frankly is probably all you're after before a long flight.
