In this pre-lockdown video a very small group of Auckland HOG Chapter members ride down to the Zealong Tea Estate in Hamilton one sunny weekend in July. This video shows our departure from Auckland Harley-Davidson, a very friendly truck driver on the motorway, some country roads and our arrival at Zealong. It seems a long time ago that we could just decide on a whim to travel outside of Auckland and of course it's not possible now but looking forward to such freedom being granted to us all once again in the future.
We visited the Zealong Tea Estate which is apparently New Zealand's only commercial tea estate and which has 1.2 million tea plants in production. It's definitely worth a visit and I hope that once lockdown lifts they are open and bustling again.
