A husband and wife team have broken the British record for the biggest catfish with a massive 150lb beast.

Shaun and Chloe Ing took 90 minutes reeling in the 8ft long specimen and needed the help of two friends to lift it out if the water.

The fish was so big it broke their tripod for the weighing sling.

After finding another tripod they weighed the catch at exactly 150lbs - 7lbs heavier than the existing UK catfish record.

Shaun and Chloe had just ordered a Chinese takeaway minutes before they got the first bite and by the time they had returned the fish to the water safe and well the meal was ruined.
