Hi friends, in this video, I will walk you through the process of making yogurt at home.
Boil the milk. Let it cool down. It should be hot to touch and not scorching. If you love Malai , then you can leave milk solids intact, and if you do not, then whisk them back in the milk.
Gently add in your starter , I used a store bought yogurt for the first lot. Stir it , and cover the container. Please use glass/ steel containers and not plastic.
Cover the container in a cozy throw/ blanket and leave it aside. The next morning, it would be set. The Malai on top can be removed and can be used in marination, doughs, or creamy sauces. The whey in curd is pure protein and can be used to make doughs, Lassi, etc.
