TLDR; my 7 year old tv was turning BLUE (da ba dee). So, it was time for a new one- but I wanted to make sure I got the most bang for my buck.

I ended up going with the Vizio MQX 50” as well as the Vizio M Elevate soundbar while they were both on sale for $499 each- it seems the sale price keeps changing by $50-100 dollars from week to week, but I really recommend buying on sale to save a few extra bucks over MSRP. But even at MSRP these devices make a very compelling home theater bundle for those looking to have the latest features without breaking the bank.

So, we’re talking Dolby Vision with 120hz gaming mode on the 4K display, with Dolby Atmos via pop-out height channels on the soundbar.
