This number comes from the 1937 movie "Shall We Dance," starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. It was Gershwin's first film score and this music accompanied a scene on the deck of luxury liner where various members of the cast were walking their dogs. The movie scene is here on You Tube but with of course the old soundtrack. I thought it might be nice to hear it in 1970s stereo sound, superbly played by Andre Kostelanetz's orchestra.
