Sometimes the simplest of exercises can have the greatest impact. This powerful muscle acts as a pump and a skeletal muscle. It aids in posture so we don't fall forward at the ankles, it contributes heavily to walking, running, and dancing, and is a powerful plantar flexor.
If you're dealing with some undiagnosed foot pain and have yet to be assessed, try some calf raise variations including orienting the foot forward and from a seated position.
