(23 Jan 2015) Pro-Russian separatist leader Alexander Zakharchenko vowed on Friday, that rebels will continue fighting for more territory in eastern Ukraine and there will be no further peace talks with the Kiev government.
It wasn't clear however, whether the rebels will respect this week's agreement to pull back heavy weapons from the front line.
Zakharchenko, who's the head of the self-proclaimed Donetsk Peoples Republic, said that his fighters were preparing to attack from three difference directions.
He also said that Luhansk Peoples Republic has separately launched an offensive in two different directions.
He emphasised that the rebels will continue fighting Ukrainian forces until they reach the borders of the Donetsk region.
According to NATO, a major rebel offensive was coming, due to heavy weapons moving in from Russia as they have prior to previous rebel pushes.
Also on Friday a funeral took place for one of the 13 victims of Thursday's mortar attack on a bus stop in the rebel-held Donetsk city.
It is not clear who fired deadly mortars as both sides accuse each other.
