This was the first CD I have purchased in about 20 years. After listening to it the past couple days, almost on a loop, I can why it makes just about every list of must own audiophile CDs.
This is a must own, if you want to truly test your system’s capabilities!

The cabinets are in very good shape, along with the metal grills. Not perfect thuough, especially since they were missing the OEM Polk jumpers.
Quality - 9.5
These feel like $1,500 speakers, no doubt about it. Everything from the finish, the density of the cabinets, quality of the speakers components, all the way down to the binding posts and the grill.
I had done a tone of research before picking these up but they exceeded my expectations when I finally got my hands on them.
Just amazing quality, so much so, I might try and compete the set!
Sound - 9.0
These are more refined than my Klipsch RP600M’s and they definitely go as low but where these pulled ahead was the midrange.
It is actually a pretty close comparison, I scored the Klipsch 8.5/10, especially if you factor in the price difference.
These might be the best sounding bookshelf speakers I have ever owned.
MSRP Rating - 8
Considering the Klipsch RP600M has a MSRP $649 and these are $1,499, it’s hard to justify the premium for the Polks.
Are these worth $1,499, no doubt about it. Are these better overall speakers than the RP600M’s, yes. Are the Polks worth $850 more than the Klipsch? Not in my humble opinion, based on my income. If money isn’t an object, go Polk all day. But then again, if money isn’t an object, if probably go B&W:)
Aesthetics - 9.0
The curves and the finish of these speakers actually make them appear a little smaller than they actually are. They are still very large bookshelf speakers but they would appear much larger, with out the curves.
Just beautiful speakers!
Price Paid Value - 9.5
Picking these speakers up for about 1/2 of the current close out prices is just crazy. One of my better deals I’d say but not the best:)
Average Guy HiFi Rating - 45/50 = 90%
Final Thoughts -
These might have been one of the best deals out, when Polk was closing the LSiM lineup out.
These are very high quality, beautiful sounding speakers.
Now I have a big decision to make, should I replace my tried an true RP600M? Only time will tell:)
