We are moving our beehive across our yard - just 125 feet. Every book says that you have to move the hive just a few feet each day to go such a short distance. If you move the hive several miles at once, that's fine, but if it is less than that you are told to go only a few feet per day.

We're doing all 125 feet at once. Period.

We have 2 tricks up our sleeves to help make sure our bees reorient and come back to the new location and not the old one.
