The Government is engaged in a “constant pattern” of adopting Labour policies months after rubbishing them, Sir Keir Starmer has suggested.

Asked if he thought the Government would “pinch” Labour’s proposals to deal with the rising cost of living once a new prime minister is selected, Sir Keir told reporters: “What I want to see is action on this that is going to help people in the course of this winter."
