How to free up storage and get the very most from your Android device.
If your phone has a memory card slot, then the solution is easy.
You can now set microSD cards to work as internal storage.
Android views the card as an extension of the built-in memory.
Running an app from your SD card will be slower than running it off the internal storage, so only use it for apps that don’t require a lot of speed to run well.
By default, Android apps are installed to your phone’s internal storage.
How to...
Swipe down once, then tap the “Settings” icon in the upper-right corner of the Quick Settings panel.
Or
Open the App Drawer and tap the “Settings” icon there.
Go to:
About phone
Software information
Build number
Tap ONCE and you will see :
"No need, developer mode has already been enabled."
OTHERWISE..
Keep tapping till your passwod/pattern lock appear.
Enter password or pattern lock
Go back to SETTINGS
Developer options
Toggle ON the section:
FORCE ALLOW APPS ON EXTERNAL.
Wait for an "Android system update"
Tap APPS.
Find the app you want to move in the list and tap it.
On the APP INFO page, select STORAGE
Below the STORAGE USED, tap the button underneath that says CHANGE.
Tap Change if it’s there. If you don’t see the Change option, the app cannot be moved.
Select the SD CARD in the CHANGE STORAGE LOCATION dialog box.
This brings up a confirmation screen. Tap Move to begin.
if you should decide you want the app back on your internal storage, you can move it again at any time.
OR..
Try transfer apps to an SD card for Android Pie MANUALLY.
SETTINGS - APPS & NOTIFICATIONS - APP INFO
Find the app you want to move in the list and tap it.
Select: STORAGE
If the app supports being moved to a card, you’ll see a button here labeled CHANGE.
Tap this.
Select the SD CARD in the CHANGE STORAGE dialog box.
This brings up a confirmation screen. Tap MOVE to begin.
If you find that you’re unable to move apps to SD card, the option simply won’t be available.
Unfortunately, there is no quick list to see which apps can be moved to SD cards, so you’ll need to check each one MANUALLY.
