An Australian-born woman, Galit Carbone, has been killed in an Israeli village.
The 66-year-old grandmother, born and raised in Sydney, was slain outside her front door.
Palestinian militants stormed her home in the Be'eri kibbutz, which is five kilometres from the Gaza border.
There, she worked as a librarian and raised her three children.
Family members say she was murdered "in cold blood".
