The Real Truth About My PhD

Recently I have been reflecting on my research career so far.
Especially my PhD days and the impact it had on me as a person. Looking back I realised how transformational my PhD journey was in terms of developing me as a person compared to the achievement of having a doctorate.

Don’t get me wrong many things have occurred as a result of me having a PhD and saying I completed on. Believe me I am sure it will happen for you too. But I realised for me that the journey was more than the destination.

I am thankful I got to finish a PhD and still as passionate about research and all that has transpired as a result. But I want to raise awareness and importance of making use of the journey and life of being a PhD student. That learning curve can truly be life changing as it did for me.
