M.E.F. is an independent HipHop/Pop/Rap recording Artist, Producer, and lifetime student of the arts. A well rounded music lover and creator.
Inspired by many different music artist, in all different genres.
The lyrics I write come from a deep connection I feel to the music. The knowledge I have gained, being a fan for 38 years. And now being an artist myself, creating music for a few years.
I draw inspiration from classic Rock, HipHop, R&B and Country. Combining them all together and mixing that with the eventful life I've lived thus far. That's been packed full of overcoming set backs and perseverance. What gets delivered is raw, real and strait up... poetry. Displaying a true appreciation for the lessons I have learned.
Originally born Newport News, and raised in Hampton, VA.
I spent most of my life in and out of trouble with the law, helping family when I could and regretfully hurting them in the times of battling past addictions. As well as, a severe depression that almost took me. Used to be careless and stayed busy running the streets, partying and living fast. I was trying to find my path in life back then.
I see now, that I was simply exploring the avenues that were available to me. So I could pick the one best fitting to achieve happiness, contentedness, and ultimately getting me where I want to be.

Currently living north eastern Ohio. Here is where I built the family I have today and called home for 5 years now. I have truly been blessed with a second chance at life! Gratitude is my main motivation these days and the reason I can't be stopped!
