Colours are described because they can convey meaning, e.g. red = love/passion, a rainbow symbolises hope and LGBTQ pride etc. Also, many people who are blind or visually impaired have at some point had vision and can remember colours.

A fit, bare-chested bearded guy struts forward. He lifts his arms fanning out a rainbow cape that’s tied around his waist. He stops, strikes a pose and whips colourful wigs off his head, one by one to the beat. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue. He throws off a rainbow scarf which takes a purple wig with it. He fans himself, twirls and tugs off a final rainbow wig, shaking out multicoloured confetti. He tosses the rainbow wig at us.
