Impact Summit America is a highly curated institutional investor conference designed to bring together thought leaders and practitioners in impact investing with the objective to catalyse private institutional capital in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
In October 2023, the 4th edition of Impact Summit America focused on most of the challenging topics in impact investing, bringing together financial players to learn from each other, apply the best practices for meaningful capital allocation, and become strong advocates for impact investing. Ten intuitive plenary sessions took place during the Summit.
In her captivating keynote during the Impact Summit America 2023 about the importance of championing awareness for racial equity and how institutions can actively promote and take action, Smitha Das, Director of Mission and Impact Investing, World Education Services (WES) shared how the dimension of racial equity reflects in their portfolio. She also demonstrated their approach to investments, addressing the structural barriers people experience because of their race, ethnicity, and intertwined other identities.
