A dad-of-three managed to capture 'Attenborough-like' footage of diving gannets by hanging off the side of a boat to give the appearance he was 'swimming with them'.
Gerald Robinson managed to get just inches away from the birds during a boat trip last week in the North Sea by daringly dangling himself over the side.
The impressive footage shows the gannets diving into the sea like torpedoes with one impressively nose-diving into the water so close to Gerald that sea water splashes onto the lens of the camera.
And the 56-year-old was lucky to end up with any footage at all after nearly losing his camera in the sea when it slipped halfway into the water.
Gerald, from Rotherham, South Yorks, said: "It was incredible to watch them and I couldn't believe how close I had got.
