When suddenly and beautifully, the dreams of true luxury were brought to the world by Pan American Airways, and overnight society was quietly brought closer together as travelers could now reach across oceans with the great speed of flight. Isolated islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean became popular household names as vacation destinations, and the Transatlantic nations were now connecting at the speed of overnight flights, all thanks to the gloriously lavish Boeing 314 Clipper.

Join me as I tell the story of a gorgeous airliner that became the premier boatplane capable of putting cruise ships to shame; and became known across the world, both for her great prestige... and in part, completely by accident!
