No. 1: Oh No! Dirty Dick’s Cat’s Disappeared!
What would Charles Dickens think if he visited Dirty Dick’s pub today? He’d be gutted I’m sure. Some of the most dramatic scenes of his novel Great Expectations were inspired by what he saw when he visited this historic pub in all its glorious filth and ghoulishness.
What a pity they’ve cleaned up this historic London pub. Now all we have left is an amazing story.
