You’ll receive the microphone and an instruction manual. The mic measures 3.5" long, 3.5" wide, and 0.75" tall. Extending from the back of the mic through a thick strain relief, is a 6.5ft braided nylon USB cable that is durable and tangle resistant. The cable come with a Velcro cable tie to keep the cable neat and tidy, but be aware that the hook side can catch on the fabric of the cable, so when using it, be sure to put the fuzzy side against the cable. There's also a keeper loop that you can wrap around the cable so that the tie stays with the cable even when not being used.
The power button on the top is a touch button and works by simply tapping on that spot. On the bottom is a foam non-slip pad and two mounting points if you want to hang or stabilize the microphone in place. The microphone is omni-directional, so it'll sound the same no matter which direction you're speaking from. When compared to my mini tablet's built-in microphone, the Tonor conference mic performs much better with cleaner sound and reduced background noise. While it doesn't provide the same pure clarity as the Blue Yeti mic that I normally use, it actually sounds pretty decent considering its price. As a conference mic that's meant to be placed in the middle of a table, the pickup isn't quite strong enough if you're not seated fairly close to it -- 2 to 4 feet from the unit. Any farther and voices will be fairly faint. You may be able to adjust the settings on your computer, though, to improve the mic's gain, but be aware this may introduce some noise into the audio. However, the mic sounds good and provides a clear improvement over the built-in mic on my tablet. It works great for conference calls, video chat, and multi-person interviews at close range.
