I had the chance to testride the new 2022 Yamaha XSR 900. With the emission regulations getting stricter and stricter I was not expecting much on the sound of the new machine. However I was surprised by the sound the new XSR 900 which for me is a huge step up on the previous model. I would even say you do not really need an aftermarket exhaust on this bike since the stock exhaust sounds pretty decent. I did not think once on the testride (approx. 4-5h) that the sound was too muted or not exciting enough. The sound engineers did an impressive job with this bike.
