This is the process I go through and the products I use. I haven’t found many videos on YouTube for softening leather.
One thing I forgot to mention is that the Hydrophane Leather Dressing also makes leather waterproof/resistant. So it is a great product for areas with a moister climate that can cause saddles to mold.
I will also add, that in my experience it does not darken the leather (with rough out being the exception). I would still suggest doing a spot test first!
