For Ford Raptor fans, here is the uncut video Ford used to create the promo video for the 2019 Raptor Trail Control System, which will also appear in the new Raptor.
We just posted this for fun because on a grey morning we needed a 4x4 fix and thought you might too. No review until we get behind the wheel ourselves.
Well, no. Not exactly cruise control. When the Trail Control is engaged in any of the 4x4 modes, the Raptor takes over throttle and braking while the driver focuses on steering. Stuck in the sand and don’t know how to get out? Switch to Snow/Sand 4x4 mode, set the speed to 1.6 kph (1 mph) and let the truck deliver torque to right wheels to get you out.
From the little we’ve seen so far, it seems similar to the Tacoma’s Crawl Control first released in the 2016 model. One difference is Tacoma’s Crawl Control allowed you to choose from five speed settings, while the Raptor allows a setting of 1-20 mph.
Trail Control will also be available in the 2019 Ford Ranger.
