Rescued Victoria Cockatoo has to have a deslorelin implant procedure every six months to suppress gonadal activity in her body and control the pain. Sadly an emergency happened to Victoria in January, and we got behind on her implant. Suddenly Victoria Cockatoo overnight became in extreme pain, and we almost lost her. Luckily Dr. G, an Exotic Vet, performed the procedure and saved her life for another six months. Victoria Cockatoo had an ultrasound, implant, bloodwork, cloaca examined, fecal test, and sedation during the appointment. The blood test results looked good! As long as Victoria Cockatoo receives her implant on time, we are hoping she will remain stable. As long as Victoria is a happy parrot and wants to live, I will keep fighting for her. She deserves all the love I can give her.
