PNR Test Run trip from Tutuban in Manila to Naga City, Camarines Sur today, June 27,2010. This test run will also check the condition of the rails along the entire ROW. PNR trips to Bicol was suspended in October 2006 due to Typhoon Milenyo which destroyed the San Cristobal Bridge in Barangay San Cristobal, Calamba City, Laguna. With the reconstruction and completion of said bridge, the missing link to Bicol was again finally complete.
Test Run composed of GE Locomotive 2540 - Refurbished Baggage/ Power Car (7C-114) - Refurbished Coach (7A-2025) - GE Locomotive 2535.
Also comprising this Test Run is one DMU unit currently plying the Tutuban - Alabang Commuter Line: DMU-02 (DMR 03 - ITR 02 - DMR 04) will be sent to Naga to replace the existing locomotives and coaches comprising the Naga Commuter Line. Said locos and coaches will be sent to Caloocan for repair and refurbishment.
